Synopsis
Film drama "The Free State Of Jones" tells the end of the battle of Corinth in 1863, and Newton Knight survived during the civil war. Newton Knight who work as small farmers in the Mississippi area, leads a group of deserters confederation of anti-slavery in the district Jones and they were behind the attack confederation.
Newton Knight later married Rachel who had been a slave, Rachel has contributed to the development of the first mixed-race community in the region, even though he is a Native American.
